Statement of the painter
Painting has been there for me since I remember myself.
Painting is my way of looking at life, my way of playing with it.
I’ve always felt the need to express my feelings on a challenging white canvas, the thrill of it and the search for an outcome that seems to have a soul of its own.
Everything is about light, sea and light.
The transparent Greek light and the sea, infinite, sometimes tranquil and peaceful and other times dark and wild.
“Sea within our eyes and our souls; and the light – merciless.”
The charm of an unexpected shimmer, a colorful shadow or a skyline that makes me dream. Those are the things that I am trying to capture in my paintings : The essence of a place. Liquid forms, water, air and generous light.
It is not that I’m ignoring the pain and ugliness around me. It is that I choose the beauty instead, in an ongoing journey …

Ζωγραφίζω όσο θυμάμαι τον ευτό μου.
Ηζωγραφική είναι για μένα ή ματιά μου στη ζωή ,είναι ο τρόπος μου να "παίζω" μαζί της.
Η ανάγκη να εκφράζομαι με το πινέλο,ή συγκίνηση του λευκού καμβά ,το ψάξιμο,το αποτέλεσμα που βγαίνει σαν να είχε ψυχή δικίά του,όλα αυτά δε θα μπορούσαν να είναι αλλιώς.
Όλα είναι φώς,φώς και θάλασσα.
Το διάφανο φώς του Ελληνικού τοπίου και ή θάλασσα ,ή απέραντη, ή ήρεμή και γαλήνια, η άγρια και σκοτεινή.
"Θάλασσα στην ψυχή και στα μάτια μας και το φώς ανελέητο."
Η γοητεία ενός απρόσμενου λαμπυρίσματος ή μιας χρωματιστής σκιάς,ενός ορίζοντα που με ταξιδεύει... αυτά ψάχνω να αποδώσω στους καμβάδες μου.Ρευστές μορφές νερό και αέρας και φώς γενναιόδωρο.
Δεν είναι που αγνοώ την ασχήμια και τον πόνο γύρω μας ,είναι που επιλέγω να βρίσκω την ομορφιά σ' άυτό τον κόσμο ,τον μικρό το μέγα ,σε ένα ταξίδι που συνεχίζεται.
